47-year-old killed in shooting at STL gas station

ST. LOUIS - Officials have now confirmed that the victim in relation to the Gulf gas station shooting on July 31 in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood has passed away from her injuries.

Officials arrived at the gas station—located in the 5700 block of Natural Bridge Avenue—around 9 p.m. when they discovered McDowell outside in the parking lot in her car suffering from a gunshot wound to her head.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) has now identified the victim as 47-year-old Tyieshia McDowell, who succumbed to her injuries in the hospital on Aug. 2--two days after the shooting was reported.

Homicide Detectives are currently investigating the fatal shooting and what led up to the incident.
