It will be the first time ever that the Holiday Bowl will be played in January.
Last year's game took place on Dec. 27, 2024, with Syracuse defeating Washington State 52-35 in the third-highest scoring game in Holiday Bowl history.
The game in January will match up the best teams from the ACC against current or former teams from the Pac-12.
“We absolutely love this game date and kickoff time,” said Mark Neville, CEO of Sports San Diego. “The date makes it easy for fans to follow their teams to San Diego and spend several days in what we feel is the best bowl destination in America."
Similar to previous years, fans can expect several days of festivities surrounding the Holiday Bowl, including the Bowl Bash, a downtown street party, the Port of San Diego Holiday Bowl Parade and Game Day 5K.
Tickets will first be available for annual bowl game ticketholders and are expected to go on sale to the general public in September. The game will air nationally on the FOX network, and on FOX 5 in the San Diego area.
