4 men charged with armed carjacking in St. Louis County

CLAYTON, Mo. – Four men are in custody for carjacking a man at gunpoint in St. Louis County.

According to probable cause statements filed by the St. Louis County Police Department, the carjacking happened on July 24. Additional details on the time and location were not provided.

Police said an individual contacted the victim and asked him to refinish a firearm. The victim agreed and later scheduled a time and place to return the gun.

When the victim arrived at the designated meeting place, four armed men exited a vehicle and robbed the victim. Police said the men took the victim’s car keys, as well as his cell phone and a Louis Vuitton bag.

Two of the men got into the victim’s vehicle and drove off. Police said they later struck a bystander’s car and totaled the stolen vehicle. The two ran into a home in the 9200 block of Riverwood Drive. One man surrendered when police arrived while the other attempted to flee but was tasered and arrested.

Those two men were identified as Fernandor L. Williams, 20, and Terrance Lee Jr., 23. The other two suspects, Cederick Boyd, 20, and Bryant M. Chatmon, 19, were later identified and taken into custody.

On Tuesday, Aug. 5, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Boyd and Chatmon with vehicle hijacking, first-degree robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.

Williams was charged on July 28 with vehicle hijacking, first-degree robbery, and two counts of armed criminal action.

Lee was also charged July 28 with vehicle hijacking, first-degree robbery, leaving the scene of an accident, resisting/interfering with an arrest, and two counts of armed criminal action.

All four men remain jailed on $250,000 cash-only bonds.

Chatmon and Boyd will appear in court on Aug. 13 for a bond reduction hearing, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Sept. 4; Williams has a preliminary hearing set for Aug. 27; and Lee will be in court on Sept. 4 for his preliminary hearing.
