2nd discovery of human remains in north St. Louis in 4 days
ST. LOUIS – Homicide detectives are investigating after human remains were discovered in north St. Louis for the second time in four days.
According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, detectives were summoned to the 4900 block of Harney Avenue, located in the city’s Mark Twain neighborhood, around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Police have released no additional information on the investigation.
On Thursday, a city forestry crew discovered remains while clearing a vacant lot near the 5600 block of Labadie Avenue in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood.
The St. Louis Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the remains and determine a cause of death in that case.
