2-year-old girl drowns at Lake of the Ozarks
MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. — A 2-year-old Morgan County girl has died following an incident at Lake of the Ozarks on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) boat report, a 2-year-old Gravois Mills girl drowned around 10:30 a.m. near Gravois Arm at Lake of the Ozarks on Wednesday.
MSHP says the incident occurred when the girl wandered away from home. The girl was found face-up in the lake.
The girl was pronounced deceased at Lake Regional Hospital. Next of kin has been notified.
This is the first fatality for August and the sixth fatality for MSHP Troop F in 2025.
