2 shot, 1 killed overnight in north St. Louis shooting

ST. LOUIS - Two people were shot, one fatally, overnight in a north St. Louis shooting.

The shooting happened around 11:40 p.m. Friday in the 5300 block of North Euclid Avenue in St. Louis' Mark Twain neighborhood.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reports that the two victims suffered gunshot wounds and were inside a parked vehicle when police arrived.

A 42-year-old man in the driver's seat of the vehicle died on scene.

A 34-year-old man in the passenger's seat was sent to a hospital in critical and unstable condition.

SLMPD homicide detectives are handling the investigation. No suspect information is available at this time.
