19-year-old shot, killed in Belleville over the weekend: Police
BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The Belleville Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that resulted in the death of a 19-year-old over the weekend.
According to Belleville Police, law enforcement officials were dispatched to Memorial Hospital around 7:20 p.m. in response to a victim who was shot in the 500 block of North 38th Street on Aug. 30.
Police say the victim—a 19-year-old male whose identity has not been released—died from his injuries at the hospital.
Since the shooting death, investigators are looking for leads regarding what led up to the shooting, as well as potential suspect(s).
