1 dead, 2 injured after shooting in Greater Ville neighborhood
ST. LOUIS - One person was killed and two others were left injured Sunday night after a shooting in north St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the shooting happened around 9 p.m. in the area of North Taylor and Cottage Avenues in the city's Greater Ville neighborhood.
Officials received calls for a shooting and ShotSpotter activations around 9 p.m., police said. Around 30 minutes later, SLMPD says they received another call from a local hospital after three men, ages 39, 40, and 35, were dropped off suffering from gunshot wounds in the incident.
Officers found evidence of a shooting on the 4500 block of Cottage, according to SLMPD. Investigators believe a suspect fired shots at the three men from a dark colored vehicle.
The 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the hospital, SLMPD said. The 40-year-old man was listed in stable condition while the 35-year-old man was listed in critical but stable condition.
